Another beautiful day for sure.
Well, mileage told, not the shortest day of driving. I wanted to go see Joshua Tree National park, but the actual mileage totally blew away the proposed easy day of mileage. And ending up on the wrong side of the park didn't help. But, as I knew it would. The view was worth the drive. First pic: San Andreas fault, Mexico and Palm Springs in the same picture. Awesome.
The drive from there to Adelanto for the Bakersfield axe at the High Desert Mavericks was also scenic. With a little roller coaster mixed in. Seriously. A few zero gravity drops were very rollercoasterish.
The game wasn't bad at all. The first of the half dozen so far that the home team was not victorious. Might have been the lack of attendance though...a whopping 1006 'paid attendance' (whatever that meant) translated to about a few hundred, with the great majority in groups announced after the first inning. Well, you can't win 'em all, but you can sell motor oil at the game. It happened.
Anyhoo, an hour drive back to LA was a little longer than I was enthused about. But, some PCH driving tomorlow and Padres at home shall be a treat.
