Day 11.

Well then. I seem to be saying that a lot these days.

I can tell you that I spent all day driving. Probably 400 miles or so, but some absolutely awesome scenery. I'm gonna have to say that southern California is beautiful, weather and scenery both. I'm sitting in Bakersfield, and maybe it's just inland enough, but its 90+ for the first time since Las Vegas.

I decided to drive from San Bernadino straight west to Santa Monica first thing. I'd like to thank my friend Jenny again for helping me realize that google maps had traffic...saved me about an hour I'd guess this morning alone. Thanks, Jenny.

The pacific highway is wonderful. Totally .are the drive LA worth every mile. The first pic is from a park in Malibu, at the top of a bluff. I mentioned something about not having crappy weather yesterday, and it was cloudy until just that point. God is great for sure.

The coast is just so relaxing to drive. Although some people would definitely be be worried about driving off the edge or the next bend, but this is one of the reasons I did this trip. A picture with a typical view is second.

I drove the pacific highway until San Maria, and then diverted to california 166 to get to Bakersfield. Half hilly and half flat, and both equally scenic.

And now I sit in Bakersfield watching the Visalia Rawhide at Bakersfield Blaze. Its Friday night, and there's probably a few hundred. There's no video board, the error lights are half burned out, and the at-bat doesn't work. Its like high school. And evidently the benches cleared last time these teams played. Stay posted.
