Road trip day 5: LA!

Wow dudes.

A great day. Yesterday driving into Las Vegas, I passed the Atomic Testing Museum. On the way out of town, visiting it was a good experience.

It was well done and packed full of information from the race for the atomic bomb, testing schedules, viewpoints and chain of events for the moratorium on thermonuclear development. And just minutes from the Sunset Strip.

Today is the only day of the trip entirely on interstate highway. the scenery is pretty if you have the right perspective, and the roads are so straight in places it makes 75 mph seem like you're standing still.

On the way to LA in Baker. CA was the worlds tallest thermometer. That's about all there is to see out there other than freeway.
Close to Los Angeles there is some pretty scenery. I will say that I'm glad I'll be here for a few days.

I drove straight to a high school friend's house to pick up something important. About 6 weeks ago, I mentioned to Jenny that I'd be in town, and she hit a homerun. She had some connections and treated me to extra innings at Dodger Stadium. I had looked forward to this game for I don't know how long, and it turned out to be a great experience all around. Thanks, Jenny; you outdid yourself. I owe you big time.

Tomorrow is pseudo open; the only thing for sure is Lake Elsinore at home. Game 4 of 15. I find that I enjoy the antics of minor league games quite funny; maybe there will be a frozen tshirt race. I'll keep you posted.
