Day 10.

I'm waiting for the day it rains all day on this trip. It hasn't happened yet. For the most part, cool winds have prevailed except for a few in Arizona and Nevada.

Tonight I'm back in San Bernadino/ Los Angeles area. This morning I spent four hours on the USS Midway, now a museum after being decommissioned after Desert Storm. It was the flagship carrier where plans were made and carried out.

I recommend this opportunity to anyone. I could not be prouder of our military and the things that we do to preserve our freedom. Prouder of the men and women who have done and continue to sacrifice. Thank you.

Although the drive today wasn't as beautiful as it has been in recent days, it was quite pleasant. Sun out with a cool breeze.

I elected a closer game than the originally scheduled game in Visalia. The game in San Bernadino was great, and you can't go wrong with a walk up ticket on the front row where you can set your beer on the dugout for $10.

Tomorrow looks like a long day with trying to get some of highway 1 and make back to Bakersfield for game no. 9. Right now the home team is up, six games to two.

This also marks the northern trek past Los Angeles. Seattle, I'm coming. It will be a few days, though.
