Road trip day 6.

Howdy yall.

Sunday was a pretty decent day. I have discovered that Los Angeles enjoys cooler temperatures than I expected. Yesterday, the time spent outside was just wonderful.

I elected to visit the Getty Center off the 405. What I had not planned for was the almost hour procedure of just parking the car. It wasn't first thing in the morning, which would have been a better idea on a Sunday I'm sure. After following cars down and parking in the lowest level, another line formed to ride a tram up the hill to the actual museum.

The tram went about a mile, and the museum was just huge. And beautiful. ad overwhelming. You could spend a few days there easy. Go there. And I discovered that I think I enjoy impressionistic paintings the most. Van Gogh and Monet works dislayed there were most enjoyed by me.

The view from the grounds was spectacular.

Walking down the hill back to the parking garage was very nice. Downhill all the way,and a oool breeze along with great scenery. After all, LA is pretty when you're not sitting in traffic.

My friend Jenny suggested I load traffic something in my phone. I didn't realize that Google Maps has a traffic option for free, but it has saved me hours of sitting already. Since there's a freeway intersection just about every three miles all around the city, it just takes a little effort to avoid bad areas.

The evening found me at In and Out burger, and driving East to Lake Elsinore. I was happy because I was able to arrive at the stadium on time for a 7:05 start, but since the game started at 5, it was already in the 6th. But, the home team rallied, and forged a come from behind win to take it. And just sitting outslde in a cool breeze and awesome scenery was worth the trip out there.
